If you are new to research at Siena college you are required to complete both an in-person training as well as online training modules. Some of the online modules are required for lab classes at Siena, so if you have already completed them and are up to date there is no need to retake them.
The following must be completed prior to the start of working in the lab:
A) In-person training:

B) Required online modules through the Canvas page for School of Science Safety
1. Awareness Level Laboratory Safety and Emergency Training
2. Beginning Laboratory Safety Training for New Employees (including Student Workers)
3. First Aid Kit and Medical Emergency Training
4. Waste and Chemical Safety Training
5. Working Alone in School of Science Laboratories
The following must be completed prior to using the Autoclave or Centrifuges in the shared Bio Department space:
6.Autoclave Training AMSCO 250LS
7.Centrifuge and Rotors Safety Training
Only if you will be working with fixed samples:
8.Formaldehyde Safety Training
